Cougar Capital was created to attract, develop, and place BYU MBA students through an applied investment experience.
Cougar Capital will serve as a powerful recruiting tool for top talent that has interest in and passion for venture capital, private equity, and entrepreneurship.
The experience provided through participation in this fund is of tremendous value to students seeking to develop skills in critical thinking, financial modeling and analysis, market research, networking and pattern recognition. In addition, students gain exposure to numerous industries and leading edge firms that are bringing news products, services and technologies to the marketplace.
The fund serves as a platform to place students in industries that are otherwise difficult to enter. Employment opportunities in industry, venture capital/private equity, and entrepreneurship are enhanced through the “hands on” experience gained in working directly with partnering venture capital and private equity firms.
